This is perhaps why Golem, Sonm, and iExec seem to currently be focused on solving very specific issues. Golem is currently heavily focused on rendering, which is a great application that pairs well with their grid computing architecture. Over the course of many years to come, the Golem network will become a decentralized sharing economy of computing power. It is evident there will be a bit of competition going on in this space, with iExec following a somewhat similar path. Being able to rent out computing resources to the highest bidder is something to look forward to, though.

Seems strange, but maybe it can be explained by very aggressive marketing (iExec has 6x as many people in business/marketing). iExec vs Golem These are similar projects, but different in their focus. While both are decentralized volunteer computer processing platforms that let people rent out their processing power for tokens, iExec focuses their platform on dApps and the processing power they need for their services. Ultimately, Golem is initially trying to attract 3D artists, animators, and designers while iExec is creating a cloud marketplace for users and dApps. Potentially, they could even cooperate.
Sep 04, 2020 · 2. iExec. IExec is a decentralized market for cloud providers targeted on blockchain-based distributed purposes and reasonably priced, high-performance computing. iExecc Dapps. In contrast to Golem, iExec (for the reason that launch of its v1) permits anybody to develop and run purposes. The iExecc Dapp retailer accommodates a wide range of apps.
Please educate me by highlighting differences between Golem and iExec projects. Especially when compared to the code iExec has been cranking out. It all starts to make sense though, when you compare the teams.
iEXEC vs Golem vs SONM Quite a few projects in the world of cryptocurrency are focusing on fog computing and other forms of providing decentralized and distributed Internet-based solutions. Three of the main contenders in this regard are Golem, iEXEC, and the SONM project.

iExec RLC's market cap is $117.61M. 24 hour RLC volume is $8.60M.It has a market cap rank of 224 with a circulating supply of 70,733,547 and max supply of 86,999,784. iExec RLC is traded on exchanges. iExec RLC had an all-time high of $3.6687 about 3 years ago.
iExec’s main value lies in providing offchain computation for blockchains which is a different objective than Golem. As this guide’s title spells out, iExec is a platform for decentralized cloud computing, so think IBM or Microsoft cloud services but broken up into multiple nodes for off-chain computing of blockchain applications. It’s a similar concept to Golem (supercomputing) and Siacoin (cloud storage), except it’s using cloud services for processing power. Its target audience is the blockchain realm itself and its budding ecosystem of DApps. Also the product category going to golem is weird, I would say its a tie between sonm and iexec, because both have some sort of general purpose framework already running (iexec dappstore&sdk / sonm testnet).
Similar to iEXEC, Golem will use the unused computing power of Internet-connected devices all over the world. As a result, anyone can use as many resources as they need to complete computational tasks. Over the course of many years to come, the Golem network will become a decentralized sharing economy of computing power. Compare the two cryptocurrencies Golem (GNT) and iEx.ec (RLC). Golem is currently heavily focused on rendering, which is a great application that pairs well with their grid computing architecture. I like Golem's approach more and think its community is far better than iExec's. And until quite recently, iExec was 3x Golem's market valuation, while having only 1/3rd of the capital reserves of Golem and 1/2 as many engineers. But golem has received a much bigger awareness in the crypto space, and its marketing and branding is much better than iexec. So yeah, I don't know how it will pan out between the two. My best guess is that both will do well. Differences are the approaches: golem focuses on a specific use case, rendering iexec focuses on powering decentralized applications, anything can be deployed.
